Since launching early 2010 the ‘South Side Show’ has quickly become Melbourne’s undisputed weekly home of vaudeville, circus and cabaret.
On stage, dance floor or hanging from the ceiling, every Saturday night this lush art deco inspired venue comes to life with the crème of local and international guest performers alongside a rambunctious crowd comprised of circus kids, carney folk and vaudevillians.
With a reputation as a world class cocktail bar as well as one of the city’s most alternative club nights, the South Side Show parties till the wee hours each Saturday to the sounds of soul, funk, jazz, hiphop and cabaret show tunes served up DJs Mike Gurrieri & Knave Knixx.

ALEX MIZZEN

Alex has wowed audiences throughout Australia and around the globe, she is an exceptional dancer and an incredible handstand artist. She fuses these skills together to create an aerial act like no other. She twists and weaves herself through a suspended chair high above the crowd, creating beautiful shapes and images. This is an act not to be missed.
STRINGS ON FIRE

Strings on Fire is the world’s leading violin stunt duo. Using elements of Tango, violin, fire, circus stunts and physical theatre, their shows create a unique and breathtaking combination of stunts and live music.
The company “Strings on Fire” was formed by Rachele Wildmare (Mare) and Michael Collins (Nellie) in 2006. With over six hundred performances and three world tours behind them, their passion for creating a new form of corporate and festival entertainment stands out.

CHLOE DE BUYL PISCO

Chloe de Buyl-Pisco is an Aerialist, dancer, choreographer and director of large scale performances. She works majorly with Aerial dance: a cross genre that focuses on the physical clarity and endless possibilities of contemporary dance choreography as well as advanced technical skills in all aerial equipment.
She has performed and taught aerial dance around the world, since 2008 when she set up "The Flying Dance company", as an ensemble of dancers, who undertake formal aerial circus training and become aerialists.
This is an anchor company of the Firkin Crane, where they run weekly aerial classes, the first in the republic of Ireland, since 2009. As well as Intensive courses, Creation LABS, training and shows.
Chloe has spent the last 3 summers performing her flying dances at Music festivals, Circus festivals, Arts Festivals and corporate events around Ireland, Europe and the UK.
She is the only Ireland based performer to dance professionally with "The Lucent Dossier Experience", (from L.A.) Other highlights include performing with the legendary Ska band "MADNESS", "Groove Armada" and opening for the "The Undertones."
